Returns & Exchanges Policy

1. Return Policy Overview

At Patel Traders, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not entirely happy with your order, we're here to help.

Our return policy allows you to return items within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • Items are unused and in their original packaging
  • Original receipt or proof of purchase is provided
  • Items are not on our non-returnable items list

2. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account and go to "My Orders"
  2. Find the order containing the item you want to return
  3. Click "Return Items" and follow the instructions
  4. Print the return shipping label (if provided)
  5. Pack the item securely in its original packaging
  6. Attach the return shipping label and drop off the package at the nearest courier location

3. Return Shipping

Return shipping is handled as follows:

Defective item Free return shipping
Incorrect item shipped Free return shipping
Item damaged during shipping Free return shipping
Changed mind / No longer needed Customer pays return shipping
Ordered wrong item Customer pays return shipping

Note: For returns where the customer is responsible for shipping costs, the cost will be deducted from the refund amount.

4. Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it and process your refund. The time it takes to receive your refund depends on the payment method used:

Payment Method Refund Processing Time
Credit/Debit Card 5-7 business days after refund is processed
UPI/Net Banking 3-5 business days after refund is processed
Store Credit Immediately available in your account
Cash on Delivery 7-10 business days via bank transfer

For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds are processed via bank transfer, which requires your bank account details.

5. Exchanges

If you'd like to exchange an item instead of returning it for a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Initiate a return as described in the Return Process section
  2. Select "Exchange" as your return reason
  3. Choose the item you'd like to exchange for
  4. Complete the exchange process

If the exchange item has a different price:

  • If the new item costs more, you'll need to pay the difference
  • If the new item costs less, we'll refund the difference to your original payment method

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Customized or personalized items (unless defective)
  • Opened software or digital products
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable"
  • Perishable goods
  • Gift cards
  • Items that have been used or show signs of wear

7. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  1. Contact our customer service team within 48 hours of receiving the item
  2. Provide your order number and photos of the damaged/defective item
  3. Our team will guide you through the return or replacement process
  4. Return shipping for damaged or defective items is free

8. Bulk Orders

For bulk orders (orders over ₹10,000 or more than 50 items), special return conditions may apply:

  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery
  • A restocking fee of 10% may apply for non-defective returns
  • Partial returns may be subject to forfeiture of any bulk order discounts
